Stuart..thanks for the info on the rr. I don't know why I kept this car I've sold so many in my life like all of us have. I paid $4,100.00 tax and all in july of 69. I commuted to the Presidio s.f. from piedmont, manor drive, thats where my grandmother lived. I was still in the army and back from vietnam. anyway it's a keeper. I took off the steel wheels/red stripe tires and put on a set of american torgue thrusts with goodyear poly glass white letter tires that was the hot set up back then. I have managed to put 60k miles on it in all these years. Yes I have the cobra too. there is some racing history to that car... Mike

In the late 50s, just before Christmas, there would be an optional assembly in the large auditorium. Several hundred students would gather to sing Christmas Carols. The optional nature developed after some parents complained of the annual Carol sing at Havens School. Mixture of Church and State.
I assume that "happy holidays" is current de riguer at PHS.

Don't forget "The Workmen"... Clay Cotton, Paul Conover, Steve Hedeman. They played a bunch of PHS functions in the mid-60's. Clay stayed with music and had quite a career. If you google him, you'll get all sorts of info. They inspired me to pick up the guitar... later to play with Mike Chovanes, Scoop Sairanen, and Ric Replogle among others in a couple of bands. Bought a new Fender Stratocaster in 1964. Sold it for $200 when I went to college. Wish I still had it as I'm told it would be worth in the neighborhood of $20K today. Between that and the '66 427/425 Stingray ragtop I sold for $2,000 in 1973, I'd suggest you stay away from me for advice on collectibles.

OK, now I can breath............ HolDol. You are the best!!! OK I am taking a deep breath. You have slipped in behind the best, you always have. Is that "hickey" from your violin still there?? Imagine being so close with something you are permanently marked by it's love... Musically myself I have a hard time with anything more that an old stereo. I have just gotten down my Ipod & Itunes along with my "airport". Special.... Music since I have left the neighborhood has never stopped. I / we raised both boy's to love & play music. Thank God they got that from their uncle. I / we have taken them to everything from the Stones "I will never go to another Stones show". Been to 3 since the earthquake. One that week was great & the other two I had problems. SUCKED!!! Been to the Rat Pack to "The God Father of Soul", took the kids too. 3 times before he died. The biker world, I can't remember the 12 years I went to the Love Ride in Los Angeles. The musicans that just come and sith in. Ginger Baker!!! Robbie Krieger with his and the kids of the Allman's. The best band I saw at the love ride was a back up band that played behind Eric Burton and too many joints three or four others all name brand. Then the band introduced themselves, It was Elton John's band of many many years. Niel Youyng and Paul. They were hot!!! Then in 1990 PSB & I in Rapid City SD. Went to George Thoroughgood and the Allman Bros. When George was over the 2,000 seat theater emptied out and the stupid young bikers left. Psb and I first row center. I even took my kids, they wanted to go, Milli Vainly (spelling) & the New Kids on the Block, Lynard many times, Doobies, Dead, Elvis C. Van Halen with the Red Rocker when they were 9 & 11. Last weekend age 25 & 27 they took us to Van Halen with Diamond Dave. It was awesome!!!!!! Eddy one of the worlds greatest of all time guitar players was hot as ever. Eddy, BB, Eric, Stevie, Jimmy most of all, then there is Ska-t & Prince. The most fun show at the blues festival. Believe it or not, The O JAYS!!!!!!!!!!... See them to believe it. Al Green was hot too. Lou Rawls I got to go back to work. Merry Pettis!! Oh I mean Merry Xmas to all. HolDol, July 26 big party in Portland, save the date watch the mail.... To Quote a famous linguist..... PEACE OUT and we only have a little more than a year with that bastard in the white house, he just gave the 4 largest oil companies tax breaks after record profits!!!! 1KEN -peace out.

I don't have time to comment on the concerts and one of my favorite "Girls". I have to get to work, plumbing before 6am. Injury free. ...........................................................Mike White, depending on originality, paint, interior, how matching numbers down to the water pump and distributor??? The extremely low side of $50,000.00 to a high of $650.000.00. Also which "Dog & Pony" show tries to sell it. For some reason the Cuda's bring more money, stupid money. Road Runner? Is it a GTX? You were a lucky smart boy. I seem to remember you have your Dad's Cobra too? I have friends at Gooding & Company, David Gooding, they sold $67 million at Pebble last year the largest vintage car week. Biggest grossing Auction of the week. I could guarantee you a spot there, plus I probably could get a call into the right person at Barrett-Jackson, Craig. But why would you want to sell??????????? You have your own moving museum.
Peace out!!!

Hi Holl Doll, great to hear from you! I have not been to a winterland "style" concert in years. There are always good bands playing at the Redwood run in Northern Calif in Piercy, and almost every where there is a motorcycle run. The Redwood (Harley) run has been going on for 30 years now. I've been to 29 of em all on my same ole shovelhead, and saw a lot of big name bands. Some has beens who still sounded pretty good,(could have been the alchol consumtion). a fairly local band of the Bay Area, The Fried Brothers always sound good. WE saw Mick and crew a few months ago in Portland Or. We had a sky box and Pamela Anderson was in the box next to ours and causing a bit of excitement. Her guy, Tommy Lee, at the time, with Motley Crew, opened for the Stones that night. Old Mick Jagger still runs around the stage like he was still a kid, energy galore. Could there be some extra help for his energy level? Never the less, it was still a lot of the good ole songs like when we saw him at Winterland snd the day on the green. I'm glad to see you are loving life in your ventures of playing your strings. Lots of great memories of 54 Craig ave, huh? Milo.

Page & Plant show: October 1995..Shoreline Amphitheater, AND/OR Cal Expo, Sacto. Did you go?
I was in the string section. As always, I saved the set lists.
Love getting paid to be at a show with ring side seats!!
Also saved my backstage passes, in perfect condition. Led Zepplin Logo on fabric.
I play in the "pick-up" orchestras when headliners come to town and want strings. I have saved the set lists for most of them, but my Page & Plant set lists are my most treasured.
Heartbreaker and then Kashmir were the encores.
I can still play Kashmir violin part from memory...
I noticed on the cover of the Rolling Stone Mag this month that Jimmy Page has let the hair go au natural!
Looks much better than that stark dyed black hair...
Hey Stu & Bubbles!

Alright then, here it goes, The first two "renters of the shack" were Chris Toothman(he lived two doors down) and Pat Bagen, who leased it from the owner, Crawford, to work on their cars. The rent was twenty five dollars a year, to be paid in September. Pat and Chris keep it for two years, they were both Kimmers.( The floor plan was simple garage down stairs, room upstairs, no bathroom repeat no bathroom.) When Pat and Chris graduated in 1966, they decided to pass it on and make a profit, so they sub leased it Joe Bagan, Pat's brother, Mark Roemer, Bill Slay and Scott Negesmith, for equal shares of twenty five dollars. So PAT AND CHRIS made a nice profit.Footnote here they were all Kimmers. With Joe and Mark in charge home improvements were on the way, Joe just died this year so it's kind of hard for me,Sorry I really cared for Him.Lets continue, Roemer and Bagan, both wheeler dealers brought in sofa, chairs, coffee table, lamps, rugs, vacuum cleaner, drapes and of course what every little place needs, a Zenith black and white and refer. Let the party begin, this is the fall of '67. More improvements were on the way , the best of them all, a hide-a-bed, yeah buddy!Looking back even though we were all Kimmers, this place was really Joe and Mark's. They both did the work kept it clean and put pad locks on the garage door. The shack became a warm up spot for party's and even had it's own club fuctions.
June of 1968 it gets sub-leased again to David Kistler, Doug Tyler,Jim Dutton and myself(Bill Clifford), all paying twenty five dollars and getting a key. This is a big day, you finally have a place to hang out drink and entertain and explore the wonders of the opposite sex, especially the younger ladies who think you are really cool cause you have a KEY! Sorry got carried away, The friendship between clubs was much stronger in my senior year then before so more people were invited to party.Boy oh boy to start telling stories about The Shack would take forever,it was generally a wonderful place to be and I have too many fond memories of it. 1969 IT IS SUB-LEASED again to John Kistler, Jed Magee,Jack Dugan and I think Bruce Bushberg, sorry if I am wrong here, this was the last year, Mr.Crawford finally got tired of all of the partying, just a great place and time in the world of NEVERLAND, where we in the 1960's grew up, thanks for this, made me think of some great times. I think of Piedmont alot, especially as I get older, good times and bad you have your youth to help you through it. SEE YOU IN RENO!

Bob Ball has finally located the Holy Graille of the Rigma Lions! This long lost historical relic from the hallowed halls of the Rigma Lions archives has been missing since 1977. It is worth thousands of dollars. It is prophetic that it has finally been located on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Rigma Lions, the preeminent Piedmont High School fraternity- April 7, 1928. Coincidently, the 40th anniversary of the April 1967 induction of the following members was just celebrated: Jim Bennett, Barry Borden, Jim Lewis, Herb Michaels, Scott Mills, Wayne Nielsen, John Reilly, Bill Reinhart, John Robertson, and Bob Tobias. ALL MEN GROW IN RIGHTEOUSNESS! (P.S. Robert McNamara, Rigma Lion President in 1933, was the Secretary of Defense for the United States of America for Presidents Kennedy and Johnson)

THE SHACK IS BACK...From the 12/14/07 Contra Costa Times...Police were in awe when they found it. A flier circulating at Acalanes High School identified the party spot only as "The Shack."
It didn't describe the 30-by-15-foot wooden structure illegally built in a secluded canyon in Briones Regional Park. It didn't say the shack, apparently built by Acalanes students, had such amenities as a bar, couches and a fire pit. "How did these kids build this thing?" asked Mark Greenwood, youth services officer for the Lafayette Police Department. "It was amazing ... We had to wrap a chain around the entire shack to get it down." The flier did, however, let potential partygoers know two important facts: Beers were to be $2 and refills were only $1. Before police tore it down, the shack was located about one-third of a mile from the end of Franklin Lane off Happy Valley Road. A clearly-defined dirt road ran into the park from Franklin Lane, hopping the curb, passing next to a neighbor's fence and just skirting a locked gate intended to keep vehicles out. The start of the dirt track is immediately adjacent to neighboring houses, but the shack's location was completely isolated. "It was so secluded that none of the residents around there would have heard these kids partying," Greenwood said.
The shack had only been operating as a party spot for about three weeks before police tore it out. During that time those who built the shack would host a party "whenever somebody got liquor." But since it has been torn down, no one has heard of plans for a replacement. Well...do you think any of these kids had ever been to Sylvan Way in Piedmont, the original "SHACK?" Any good SHACK stories that should be shared? Go for it!

I was recently at a family wedding in Solvang and had some extra time to peruse the shops there. While in a wonderful antique store called Solvang Antique Center, an item caught my eye. It was an oversized gavel that turned out to be the Rigma Lion president's gavel with all the Rigma presidents engraved on it from 1928 to 1959. They must have acquired it from someone's estate sale. Incredibly the price tag said $685, probably because one of the names on it was Robert McNamara (remember him?) PHS class of 1935. You can view this gavel on their website solvangantiques.com I shared with the owners some of the Rigma history behind this gavel and PHS. They had no clue. Hopefully, some Rigma alum might acquire this piece of history!

Led Zeplin is back!!However, London is too far away. I remember, (yes there are a few concerts of the 70's that I still remember), seeing Plant and Page & company at a day on the green at the Oakland colliseum and probally at winterland also. Lots of concerts back then was an awsome experience. Even seeing Gracie Slick & the Jefferson Airplane at the Filmore West for the very last concert there. Then the Filmore shut down for good. When it finally opened up again as the New Reserection, it was the Jefferson Starship that played at the fisrt concert there. I was lucky enough to be at both of those. When kids talk about seeing concerts of today, I somehow think we had it much better back then. Mr leary's product seemed to bring the concerts to the next level. It seemed that way almost every Saturday night at Billy Graham's "Winterland". Stuart, thanks for reminding me about some of them we attened together! See what happen when you swear something off for a while due to "Boredom"? Look at what has transpired here...... First thing that hit me as I just got caught up. We lived in Oakland on Paramount road four blocks bellow our castle on LaSalle in Piedmont. 11/28, I am guessing 1960. I had to be turning 4. The Kushmans that ended up in Piedmont too, they were our next door neighbors on Paramount. The older sisters, there were two or three of them, they sent my birth date and a letter requesting to get me spanked on "TV" by Captain Satellite. I got excepted!!!! I was so excited. The big day came and I did something (I have always been doing something) that really pissed my Mom off!! Grounded at age 4 (we moved to Piedmont when I was turning 5 first grade). She never let me go??? I was devastated. It turned me to a life of, well drugs & rock & roll with the usual suspects not to forget those highly illegal "GREEN & GOLD" Piedmont Clubs and the Rigma Lions. (My jacket fits like a sausage casing now). Mostly, PSB (he really was straighter than most people thought). Then there was "Milo" and the usual suspects..... Is Jimmy Polse on that list with Matt?..... Randolph street a right of passage, I believe, I rode my first #1 HD on Randolph. I left several BF Goodrich radials there, I won't say what 1Ken left on Randolph, I think it was New Years??? Rotten Ron came from Randolph. For me "speed" came from Randolph in a new form. Milo at your 50th Gino was asking about him. I said he got married and he stopped contact with us or me. Leslie said she would have too at the time. I am laughing. Helen you look so cute in Milo's pictures!!! Spammer Roy got scared away, unfortunately.... Jerry D. Milo reminded me of going through the plate glass window at Lakeshore Union during, shall we say a shopping deal? Age 15 no license. I got a job there because of that. Then off to Laguna Seca, Phil's little Triumph...... 1KEN, I am on my, I lost count of trying to quit smoking. It's been almost 2 months now. Pretty good for someone that started in the park with Ricky Greenly and Dick Hanaford at age 12. I could see us with a pipe someone stole from their Dad at age 12. Our first bag of??? It could have been weeds? What did we know. Thank God I gave up cigarettes when I got the white Camero, age 17, it got the interior dirty and did nothing for you.....Steve, I am here too!!!!! Just working and staying with a family member that seems to loose body occasionally. All is well....You should all check out "wolfgangsvault" on line. I am listening to a Fleetwood Mac concert as I work or type here. There are many concerts that we were all at...As always (are you supposed to start a sentence with "AS"?) It's off to spellcheck and for those that know me I don't give a ph-ck about certain things like that>>>>>>PEACE OUT, L, me

OK...for the wrestling fans...Dr. Joe L. Lewis was the ringside physician. He was the uncle of Scott Taylor (PHS '75, I believe) who is now a prominent orthopedic surgeon in Oakland. No, not the 1970 PHS graduate Scott Taylor of Laney College football fame. We used to go down on Friday nights to the KTVU studios in Jack London Square where they filmed the weekly show to see Miss Wrestling and timekeeper Al Salinsky. A "crowd" of about 100 would show up to watch Mitsu Arakawa put a claw hold on somebody like Cowboy Bob Ellis and have him pound the mat before "submitting." It was free. Then the next night the same thing would go on at the Oakland Auditorium or the Cow Palace and thousands would pay big bucks to see 'em on the big mat. On the Cap'n Satellite deal...he was Bob March and he lived in Piedmont over on Sandringham and I believe he married the mother of Bob and Marla MacNeur (class of '72 and '70 respectively.)And don't forget that Casey Kasem used to be a local DJ and had a local Top 40 countdown on KEWB in the early sixties. And lefty...wasn't there some guy like Doug Jones or Court Harper who had to write 30 copies of Form A and did one on an old mimeograph machine paper then, after having sniffed it for about an hour, made copies and tried to turn it in? Hi Helen, good to hear from you. Your question of Steve Beals; he and his wife Nancy & kids are living in Truckee Calif. I am reminded of when Steve and I were roomates on Randolph st. in Oakland. There was an Oakland cop who had it out for me and my 1969 mustang Mach 1. He never could catch me in the act of laying rubber down on the streets(which happened quite often). One day I saw him parked 2 blocks away waiting for me to do something. Steve had a plastic marijuana plant in our living room. It was about 4' tall. I ran out to my 63 chev panel truck, that was parked in front of our house, looked around and signaled Steve to come out of the house. Steve came running out to the truck carrying that big fake plant. He jumped in the back and I closed the door and got in the drivers seat and waited. It was then that we heard the cop car blasting down the street, slidding to a halt beside my truck. He jumped out and demanded to see what I had in the back of the truck. I said, "not without a search warrant". It didn't take too long before a helicopter was hovering overhead and 4 more cop cars showed up. I asked to talk to the idiot cop's seargent. I told him how much I've been harrassed by him. The sargent asked me what I had in the back of the truck. I opened the back doors very wide to a laughing Steve Beals with his plastic plant. It was priceless!! I talked with the sargent for a while longer as the other cops vere laughing at their fellow cop. The sargent told me I will have no more trouble with the one cop, and he was right, I never saw him again! By the way Helen, I was looking at some old photo albums of that era and came across a great picture of you holding a birthday cake that had a lot of black verticle lines on it representing prison bars for JD's (Jerry Davis) birthday. If I remember correctly JD held a gal up against the wall with a knife at her throat later that night. We got the knife away from him and I think Ken Mockel drove him away. Was the gal Kathy? or ?? There were a lot of parties at that Randolph street house and most of em were pretty mellow, but there was a few out of control times too. Ask Ken about the oriental gang that stopped by uninvited. I think Ken landed the first blow when he knocked one of em off our back porch. Then it got real interseting. Nobody went to jail or the hospital, that I can remember, at least not that night anyway. Gary Klukis (sp?) stayed in the little house in the back yard for a while. Lot's of good(?) memories on Randolph street. Later. MILO....

My Jo Sisters, the Rigma Bros, the Parkies and the Hairy's BH, JAL, Kimmers and the others all were blended in a mission to break loose-- coming together for fun and frolic at Tilden Park. It was always a great day for couples to make, couples to break and excitement of the party which ensued. This inevitably led to hot locker talk to the following week long in the halls of PHS The fab resolve was the binding memories for all of us to come together to enjoy a day out in the outdoors to collect for a time for youthful flirtation, frisbee, dogs, keggers and great afternoons in the woods away from parents and the confines of the school environment..... Ok, whats really going on? What Birthdays do we have for December? Capt. Satelite was a Drunk, I don't know if he grew up in Piedmont though, and I wouldn't want to talk about somebody else's Mother. What do you want to talk about? Cars come to mind, Party times really come to mind, Molly Bonningtons partys were always a BLAST,Jasitis's Partys were right up there on top also, but so were the Tilden park parties (did anyone notice the 2 different spellings of Partys/Parties). There, that ought to give us some idea's, at least the Good Times Past don't cause me any problems, like the Good Times Present do, but I Fu@#&% Up again, Back to Meetings, and all the rest of the stuff that goes with it, but atleast I still here. Hi Kathy, how you doing? I saw Lynn the other Day, That was a treat, but she kept telling me she had to go, LOL Later, only 24 more days till X-MAS, oh and the Pat Patterson/Pepper Gomez with Dr. Joel E Lewis present for any injuries was the BESTEST era, Love Ya Ken

It sponsored the "Lodestar Olympic Games" led by Tom Trutner. My sister, Helen, learned to cook at Lodestar, so today she can feed her ohana with ease. JWB. You seem opinionated here? Great sadness for the Roemer's. Bad people is what I think you mean, selfish, ones that steal and treat people bad. My favorite, "mean people suck". On this page a few names down is a "junkie", from Piedmont, I can think of a girl that would be a woman 7 or 8 years older than us. "Junkie". They were not trash or bad people. The people our police departments repeatedly have trouble with or the gang bangers is what you mean, I hope. You know, they start being a "Junkie" then there is really no other way out. Peter Jeffrey Roemer Dec. 29, 1959 - Nov. 4, 2007 Resident of Pleasant Hill Peter Jeffrey Roemer, beloved father, son, brother and dear friend passed away on November 4, 2007 at John Muir Medical Center at the age of 47. He was born on December 29, 1959 in Oakland to Paul and Marcia Roemer. He is survived by his 14 year old daughter, Alexandria Nicole Roemer and his ex-wife Shawn Pappageorgas of Tracy, his father Paul Roemer of Oakland, brother Mark Roemer (Sharon) of Oakland, and sisters Susette (John) Drewes of Carmichael and Brenda De Leon of Modesto in addition to many loving nieces, nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his mother Marcia Roemer who lost her fight with leukemia approximately four years ago. A native of Piedmont, Peter graduated Piedmont High School in 1978. Throughout his high school years, Peter was an instructor of the summer tennis program at Claremont Country Club under the direction of Tennis Pro and close friend, John R. Hilton and continued to work there part-time for 10 years. Truth be known, after concluding his duties in the tennis shop, he was famous for "sneaking" on the golf course for a quick nine holes with a couple of his friends. Peter also found a fascination in printing which spanned from his paper route that earned him the money for his first car, to actually having photos he took published in the Oakland Tribune. From there his interest moved to printing which finally lead him to his career as a skilled fine paper sales representative. His first job in that industry was with Seaboard Paper where he worked his way up to District Manager. He then moved on to Spicer Paper for a few years and ultimately ended up at Unisource Paper in outside sales where he worked for the last 16 years. Though Peter re-located to Pleasant Hill in 1988, his job kept him on the move and quite often he could be found having lunch and playing dice at the Grand Oaks Restaurant in Oakland with his friends. While Peter may be gone, his bright smile, sense of humor, and gentle nature will certainly live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. He will be greatly missed by many including his girlfriend, Cathy Mazzo. In lieu of services, a tribute celebrating Peter's life will be held at the Grand Oaks Restaurant located at 3701 Grand Ave., Oakland, CA, on Saturday, November 17 from 2-4 p.m. Donations may be made in the name of Peter Roemer in memory of his mother, Marcia Roemer, to the UCSF Medical Center Leukemia Foundation in San Francisco. Kim.... Jerry unfortunately died of life style and too much money same as our King and brother "DD". The body can't keep up with the life style. I am fortunate to have gotten out of what I call my past life 19 years ago this coming January. Stay away from the white and the brown drugs!...Connie, so sweet and kind. Loved everyone. My boy''s would call her a hippie chick. I can see her in her aviator or her granny glasses. Always a smile, her long brown hair. I had no idea that she is gone too. Hey I believe you two could be reading this. Say hi to "DD" and brother Bob. I am sure they are at the bar. Bob is a Jack & a beer back. Doug Gin and don't give him any cheap stuff or at least pour it into the green bottle so he won't know (Dougie how funny you were). One of my favorite songs is "Won't you please dance on my grave". When my time comes there is going to be a party with a band, a band of many players. My Andrew will see to that. Kim I think you know my boy, he is quite capable. A Chico rock star like you and his uncle.....Milo what a great thing you did for your Mom at the end of her life!!!!!!!Milo that apartment was wild!! Thank God I was one of the few that always worked it kept me out of trouble and disease....
The fire extinguisher? What about the time we borrowed Kenny Leyva's Capri. We were sitting under the freeway on Harrison. Kenny had a fire extinguisher bolted to the floor. You grabbed it and told me to drive from the passenger seat. The light turned green, you reached across me and into the car next to us. You blasted away. I was teering and shifting up the hill you were crawling back into the car as I noticed this Ford Country Squire, green, big block emblems, I can see the man waving something at me. The lanes went from 3 or 4 down to one at the top. I realized it was his OPD police badge he was waving. The man was screaming stop, I couldn't hear it but I can still see his lips. Milo then pulled a square turn to the right cutting the guy off and off we went. Right, left, right left across Grand up to Kenny's in Piedmont. You never saw two guys leave a car so fast. Yes there was a lot of fire extinguisher stories at the time, this was the top!!.. Kenny Leyva, genius and misunderstood at the time. What a kind sole. A great Kenny story is when I had embraced the "motorcycle enthusiast" community. I took Kenny and "Rotten Ron" to Milo's annual labor day party. Three days of fun and music. I could not believe how racist the world in southern Oregon was at the time. Day one most of Milo's buddies were thinking Kenny was a little weird. To us he was one of us we were all out there in our own way. The activity of day two, The afternoon was shooting pistols off the back balcony at a car in the back field. A Chrysler I think. Kenny and I strolled up to watch. Kenny was a Vietnam Vet. He never went to Vietnam he was in another country directing planes where to bomb in Vietnam. Trained Air Force professional. The bikers on the balcony were aiming at the hood, the door the trunk. Kenny asked to try. They all smirked, Kenny took out the door lock and any very small target they called out. Kenny now had the respect and they were getting him beers what ever he wanted...1Ken I have no idea how I can remember this stuff, sometimes I see it plain as day... My Piedmont Car Culture book, "I was in the passenger seat & lived to tell". My chapter with The king Dougie and a little Milo, "I was on the back & am still here". As an employer for most of my life my book on employees & customers is titled, "As the clothes tumble" That is all for today and the best part is we got to remember three great Hairy's that are no longer with us...PEACE OUT!!!! There’s no reason to apologize. I read somewhere that this hairynet site is a state of mind. A place to listen and a place to be heard. I too never graduated from PHS, but attended the later years of high school across the bay, in the shadow of Mt Tamalpias. Does that exempt me? But the stories bring back fond memories of growing up partially in the Piedmont area. Who knows, someday I may need a good family lawyer, a good dry cleaner or attend few good restaurants and I know just where to look. Any of you bored folks with your expensive, fast vehicles and want to let them do what they are engineered to do, come join us at NASA (National Auto Sports Association), and we will teach you how to have more fun in a car than you ever dreamed of, dressed that is. Just an invitation and not an advertisement. Somebody in a past posting, mentioned Svensgard. I bumped into Danny Svensgard wandering around Stinson Beach a couple of years back, before I moved over the hill, but couldn’t get a clear read on what he had been up to over the past 40 years, but he seemed alright. Good recall on the raccoons name, holly smokes I can’t even remember my kids names half the time. Oh well, all a part of pushing the senior envelope. but I remember that mean little varmint, and often wondered why have a pet that might eat your baby brother in the middle of the night. Go figure. Hi Ken, Stu & everyone else of diminishing brain cells of the 70's. Yes of course that means me too. Ken, Ten Years After played at the Santa Clara Civic Auditorium when a stupid red freak threw a bottle on stage and hit the guitar of Alvin Lee and cut his hand. He stormed off stage and, yes he didn't come back for hours, cant say as I blamed him. Do you remember that Keith Orr and I were there as well? And of course I remember where 1Ken came from. And as far as advertising is concerned, Oregon Tool & Supply is the largest tool store in Oregon located in Roseburg, just an hour south of Eugene, on I-5. We are open 7 days a week, so fellow hairy's, please stop in and say hi, if you are passing through. Steve Main, there is nothing wrong with advertising what you believe in. By the way, what would you advertise if you thought ot was ok to advertise here? Yes I remember Jerry Oppenheimer, big bro of Chip Oppenheimer. My first appt was shared with Chip & Keith Orr at 1551 Madison st in Oakland unit #310. I remember one party night Bill Pettis took a fire extinguisher from the hall and let it spray from our third floor balcony on the people swimming in the pool. It seems that they didn't like it too well. Another night, Ken Leyva showed up around midnight, and as he was waiting for us to buzz him in, a rather dark lady of the night, asked him if she could keep him warm. Ken said he didn't have any money and she said he didn't need any. She came up with Ken and almost everyone ther took a turn with her ( I didn't choose to partake at that time, much to Orr boy's surprise). When it was chip's turn, he was humping away on her for quite a while, whwn she asked him " do you want me to help tou put it in now? " Well, we all got quite a laugh out of that one. Yes life with Orr boy & Chip & me in that appt was always quite interesting. I'm sure Keith will have a lot to add to that story line when he starts contributing to this site. Yes life is great. Stu, I remember letting a lot of people learn to drive in my Capri up in the good ole cemetary, where I know a lot of people learned to drive. Matt Hecht, I last saw him when he stayed at my house in Tenmile, Or. about 15 years ago. He was just bumming around trying to find something to do. he was in very good spirits back then, as I remember. When he lived up in Greyeagle, his golden retriever, got lost and showed up a few months later, many miles from home. I remember Matt and a gun incident where he shot himself in the leg, at his home. The big buzz was, what were all the cops doing at matt's house (again?). We later went hunting together in northern Calif a few times. Ah, what memories. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Milo

Hey Stu... wow, to see Connie Frank's name...! And Jerry Oppenheimer's too.... I have stories and memories of each of them.... Connie was my neighbor in Piedmont and fellow POC (Piedmont of Chico) member. Jerry was a great drummer, but also dished out cruel and unusual punishment to his fellow percussionists back in the early, pre-hippie days. Sadly, I believe both Jerry and Connie, who hooked up together in the '70's, have passed on....

DIRTY LAUNDRY???? I thought there were no commercials here but since 1Ken brought this up, Visit Dollar Cleaners in San Lorenzo or the world famous Economy Cleaners in Sand City / Monterey. "For all your cleaning needs". You brought it up. OK, OK, I think one more came to mind, happy birthday Connie Franks. I think you were in on a few birthday parties!!!! Kenny enough car crap? Why do I know all this stuff? You, most of all "PSB" & Tyson, my big brother Milo, Drew and I will throw Kieth in there too. I was the youngest and the power of the sliding car was such a thrill for me. I went to Skip Barber driving school for a day with my kid and my Dad. The skid path. They put you in a small truck with a big V8 and bald tires. Lots of water on the ground. (I was taught by the best, all of the above). The teacher was trying to tell me I was doing it wrong in the morning? I was just ahead of the program. Power out was just after lunch. I was sliding through the "figure 8", my right arm on the bench seat. I could have been eating a sandwich. The truck came to a stop, I was looking into the eyes of the instructor. He asked why I stopped? I smiled and said I haven't stopped. My foot never left the floor at anytime. By then the tires had dried the water down to the pavement. The smoke was so thick you could not see the truck and it had migrated to the lunch area and engulfed it too. The the truck shot out of the smoke like a sling shot. You, mostly PSB and the above mentioned taught me how to do this. My mentors. I just wanted to be like the big guy's. OK, LS6 is A much more common Chevelle, Corvette than a L78. Like the 66 Vette 427-435 is more common than the the 396-425 solid lifter car. I'm not saying which is better just the facts. Tommy by the time I met you I was the way I was because of the above mentioned people. Driving at 11 or 12 gets you started early I had to keep up. Hey any good priest relationship's at that other school? SO that is about it except Ken my memory should be gone due to eating through other things than your mouth, let's say inhaling your food. Keep the rubber side down. Peace OUT!!!L, me

Clare... the raccoon likely belonged to Jerry Oppenheimer. He liked to take the raccoon around town on a leash. It was pretty aggressive, so I'm not surprised to hear that it bit you... even 37 years after the fact! Steve... I don't know you but I'd suggest a "chill pill". Life's good. Ease up a little.

Hey Claire,
I read, re-read, and re-re-read your post...wow, that's a load of information! I did my very best to read between the lines..still pondering most of it. Let me assure you, however, that have never been in possession of said RACCOON...please, believe me. Furtermore, I too "attended" St. Leos...well, actually, I just played basketball for them during the season of seventh grade while I was enrolled at PJHS... I fondly remember taking the 42 ALAMEDA, which traveled down PIEDMONT Avenue, but I was really in OAKLAND!! Anyhow, I was curious, in that I am a St. Leo's "alumnus", do they, too, have a website, in which I might POST MY COMMENTS?!?!?
(I am getting so excited!) I could probably produce their equally complex secret codes as well (On what street is St. Leo's located?) Only us St.Leo's alumni know THAT!
Steve Main (sknauer57@yahoo.com) Class of 1975

Hi Kim, yes I play viola, still do! We played together in UC Berkeley Symphony. too! I also played flute and Piccolo in the PHS marching band and the PHS orchestra - though I was attending PJHS at the time - all those freezing football games! Once during playing in the stands at a PHS football game, wearing one of those XXL plaid band jackets, someone brought a pet RACCOON to the game, and it crawled over and bit me while I was playing. I guess the piccolo scared it - but like a pro, I kept on playing. Doug Azavedo played trumpet and was very solicitous, suggesting a tetanus shot. Maybe the raccoon belonged to Mr. Main.
I went to Beach school, St. Leo's school and PJHS. As it happened, my parents were enlightened enough to allow my twin sister and me to attend different high schools, which I think we both appreciated - that's why I left PHS, but I didn't leave Piedmont. How else would I know all the "secret codes" to access this site?
I read a year's worth of posts before adding mine, and saw several mentions of businesses and spouses, had no idea mine would not be welcome by Mr. Main.
So, Hi Kim! I'm not interested in cars or sports, but at least I identified myself and didn't post porno as some others have. One more weird tidbit - a murderer bought my parents' house on Kingston ave when they finally sold it in the early '90s.
To "Me" - I went to St. Leo's grades 1-6. Then PJHS. Then private school where I graduated a year early in 1971. Who are you?? Please tell Pat Moffett I'm sorry I poked him in the eye in kindergarten. Living in Orinda is just an accident of fate - we moved here to be closer to my husband's father. He is deceased and our daughter goes to school in Oakland. I'm not too involved in the Orinda schools or social life, can't answer your question.

1 Stu, wouldn't a 1970 Chevelle SS454 450HP be more rare than a 70 SS396 (402cu in really)? Straighten me out here. OK, enough of the car crap, how is everyone out here in cyber space (politically correct?)? Yes does anyone know where Matt is? Does anyone know where his sister Lisa is? Maybe, possibly she could help with the hunt. Claire, Pat Moffett is alive and living in Oakland, he is going to be online here shortly (when he gets a new laptop), I will make sure he know's that you remember his past, You don't remember anything about me do you? (a little dirty laundry), I hope not. Oh by the way we went to grammer school together, and I "ran into your sister" a while back, and then again at the reunion a couple of weeks ago. Does living in Orinda make you wish that you didn't grow up in, and go to Piedmont schools? Just stirring up the pot of s#%^%$ a little bit, you do remember what a little trouble maker I was/am don't you? Enough said, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Stuart P, and all the other Nov Birthdays, I hope life is treating you OK, I'm unemployed once again, yes I think I've worked a total of 1 month in this year of 2007, No I'm not retired, but unemployement is at an all time low. Yes because when your 6 months of checks run out they drop you off the list of unemployed, and you don't get counted anymore. You see I did listen to my teacher in economics, was that the late Mr.Jack Stack ? Haselton? I guesss I also spent too much time in Doug Azevedo's VW, how can you remember all this stuff Stu? Hey Kathy you remember San Jose Arena, Ten Years After, waiting like 3 hours for the band to come back on after someone thru a bottle up on stage? I had a pre senior moment the other day, and this came to mind. So much for my rants and ramblings, till next time, (oh wait a minute, I forgot to say high to Fred Rubio) hi Fred, or don't you remember me, now that you live in Hawaii. I just found this page. Most won't remember me since I attended PJHS only. But some other of my family members did graduate from PHS - all Callahans. I was sad to read that the animals at Beach School kindergarten were covered up. I sat on the Seal, in what must have been 1959? On the animal next to me was Pat Moffett (are you out there, Pat?). One day I poked Pat in the eye (or so he claimed). I was then made to go and get him a sleeping mat so he could lie down on it in the middle of the circle. This is one of very few memories I have of kindergarten, other than that I was jealous of the people who got to go to "speech". I never got to go to anything.

Hey Mike Foster...I was looking back at some old entries here and saw your mention of the Svensgaards and the (haunted) Bell Mansion...I can comment on both: Our home was at 100 Scenic, three houses down from Danny and Lars Svensgaard...next door to the Svensgaards were the Powells - Fred, David, Marsha, and Helena...up the street two more house was Steve Furr, then right across the street from the Svensgaards were the Betts - Mike, Mimi, and Margie (later Duncan and Sudie McCollum)...two houses over from me on Scenic was Jeff and Jennifer Atkinson...unfortunately our neighborhood had more than it's share of tragedy - within a period of two or three years in the late 60's Mrs. Lowney, who lived next door to the Svensgaards was brutally raped in their Blair home, A.J. McCollum took his own life, and the huge Bell home burnt to the ground. But, it was a fun group of kids...I will never forget it.

Got my juices going checking out the site this morning with all the talk of cars, bikes, sports, girls, bag pipe band, and the whole Piedmont scene. Thinking about my 69 Triumph MC that I bought when I was 16, drove home and made my parents really happy. Within 6 months I had it comepletely apart, molding and painting the frame, fenders and tank with laquer in my dads little garage on the back of the Harvard rd property. Tons of stuff went down to AAA chrome on San Leandro st, then I went to Sifton products in San Carlos, got track cams not recommended for the street, 13 to 1 pistons (when we could still get real gas) and built my hot rod trumpet. Running with the new Kawis Mack 3's was no problem as well as the new Honda 4's. Shits and giggles were readily available by doing a speed run (90+) through the Caldecott tunnel on the white line at midnight between the cars, way fun on Friday night with the drunks going home! Remember cruising by the hairy lawn to the concrete bench and hooking up with Robles, Andreg, Kathy, Mucks, Fisher, etc. and sharing whatever was in a bottle or rolled up...ahhhh the memories, or lack of!

After a few days and more projects, I headed up to Milos in Roseburg on a perfect 75 degree day on hwy 5 through southern Oregon. After a couple of days of hanging out working on bikes and talking to the horses we set out for Coos Bay for the Lighthouse Run. Fun run up and down the Oregon Coast, unique Lighthouses, beautiful evergreen forests and lots of water everywhere. The 101 Harley Shop in Coos bay knows how to do it right! Kathy I could not believe the size (I have not been in there since I took our 67 Fleetwood in for service) and what they have to sell there. Since we had a little cancer at our house we try to stick to organic & hormone free. That store has to be 3 to 4 times larger than where we live. Isn't he cute??? Not to mention 27, ouch!!!You should see him without that chef coat, he is so colorful, literally. He has 24 employees in his section or team. (At home I would say Leslie is the Team Leader!) I am laughing!!!! I was walking around the store trying to decide what to have for lunch looking into peoples faces I know there had to be people from our past there. One of my Mom's friends, I could tell by her lip's. Ladies careful what you do to your bodies you may live to be over 80 and I will leave it at that. Drew, great to see you here. I forgot to say hello in my last post. Drew you were a great role model!!! I bet you are laughing!! I always wanted a Elcamino like yours and I got one. A 1967. Have fun with Milo I think this weekend. I also think we should have a Piedmont motorcycle enthusiast & car culture reunion!!! Skat & Kim could bring a band. Or we could all go to Chico!!!!!!!!
Keep the rubber side down, Bob & Dougie if you are reading this give me a call. Someone please orally gratify that Pres. so he too can be impeached!
Peace OUT!!!! 1KEN.

Any of you that starts to shop at the old Cadillac dealer that is now Whole Foods market, my kid Erick runs the bakery, coffee, gelato. He looks like me but as most Whole Foods workers he has sleeves and his chest is covered in art. Say hello. I then ran into Art Seavy at OSH. Went up to Murphys for the Ironstone Concours d'Elegance and had dinner with Kim Davis (went to Havens then private school) one of her brothers and mom, Marge. Big past life week. Sorry I missed the Friday night party. Plus (I know you are reading this) I had my big bro. Milo on the phone more that once last week. So exciting!!! For those of you who remember Mr. Elwood Gerrits-I attended a "Historic Walking Tour of the Wildwood & the Highlands" neighborhoods today, which was sponsored by the Piedmont Historical Society. I had not seen Mr. Gerrits, since 7th Grade at PJHS (1966), and it was our good fortune to have him on the tour today!! He is 84 years old & looked pretty good. For those who may be interested, Mr. Gerrits is going to be leading a historical walk at the Mt. View Cemetery--on Saturday, October 13th at 10:00am--The topic is "Millionaires Row". This location is a place that people are just dying to get into!! I know, bad joke--but, I had not used it for a while, so there you go...Mike Foster

Hi Kim Gimball: So sorry to read that our friend Josie McAuliffe has passed away...After I read your posting of this news, my thoughts went back to the Havens School Playground, about 1964, when I admitted to Sam Barnett that I had a "crush" on Josie--and she was standing right behind me & I did not know it until Sam started laughing...According to our "Clan-O-Log", which was made after our 20 yr. reunion (1991), Josie & her husband (Rob Laurence) were living in Indiana. I have the phone number that she listed in that reunion yearbook....

Hey everyone... I heard from D. Duncan a few weeks back that Josie McAuliffe has passed on. She was class of '71 with us and just the greatest gal - a really good friend. Lost touch with her about 1979 and wonder what happened... when, how, where, etc...I remember hearing something about this a while back, maybe a few years...Sadness. If any of you know what happened, or can find out from mutual friends, not active on this forum, I'd surely like to have information on Josie. Thanks,

Hey everyone Orr boy (Keith Orr) is still alive. I just talked to Dicky who owns Puff & Stuff on Foothill blvd by the red & white clubhouse. Keith is living in a 1976 "vintage" motorhome on Foothill by Puff & Stuff. The things a lot of us used to do way back then, lets put it this way, it seems that Keith still didnt graduate, in more ways than one. Dont get me wrong, I still love Keith. The last time I saw him was about 11 years ago when he still "had" a harley. I ran into keith & Dicky coming home from Sturgis while they were driving a motorhome and they stayed at my house for a couple of days. Keith has a cell phone but Dicky told me he never has it on. I left a message on it so I will let you know if and when he calls me. Holly, good to hear from you in your latest post, I'm glad things are going great for you. Bob Coomber, congrats on your amazing feats. I checked out your web site. Pretty cool. I remember crusing with you and a couple of gals way back then. We would stop by the bowling ally and try to buy beer and then off to other fantastic places?? Good to hear about you. Doug Duncan, good to hear from you too. Stop by here anytime. Later,MILO

Wow, 5.5 miles each way, 14,246' at the top, loose rock & sand most of the way--I am impressed!! I've hiked up to the top of many peaks in the USA & in Canada--but rolling up & back in a wheelchair is nearly unbelievable. You are an inspiration to all & I really respect your will power.

OMG,
Sista Kathy pointed me here. I can't believe it. It's like PHS all over again. Now that can be a nightmare in your 50's, but this is one time it is not so bad. Hey Stuey & Milo!
I see you guys are here! And so many others from so long ago!
Milo, what was it about driving over cliffs? It seems like it was business as usual for us in those days...amazing we are all still alive!
Where's Les, Stu?
Or have I stumbled upon a predominantly male domain??
Were girls ever Hairys??
I always liked the Hairy Lawn, it always looked like fun! Instant party and a great place to cruise by when driving endlessly on 25cents a gallon in the giant gas guzzleing family station wagon.
Kathy, how did you find this little slice of PHS heaven, when reminiscing on a slice of moldy apple pie!
Kathy's class (of 72) reunites in a couple of weeks, the daytime party is at some park on the 30th..it must be mentioned somewhere in this giant blog, but just in case, here is the web site with info:
http://www.piedmont72.org/
I am going to crash the Sun. daytime meeting, if I don't get a last minute gig...fingers crossed.
I think John Blythe will be there, at least he will be at the evening before at T.V....Bill Pettis will not, he (along with Merry) will be taking son Austin to college, his 1rst year away at college, a brand new pair of empty nesters, Mr. And Mrs. Merry & Bill Blythe-Pettis!
WOW, I am going to be reading this guestbookblog for a while!
I see names that I recognize but I think I need to drag out the CLAN-O-Log and put faces to them..Stu, it looks like you have lots to say! Nothin new there!!!
Always good to see you/hear you Stuey!!!
Love to Les!!!
I have to ring you up when I am there, in C.V. You can meet my hubby, Kevin, an entertainment road warrior, we met gigging in Houston nearly 6 years ago.
Here's our elopement just about a year ago:

PHS, so many fun memories, the most fun time of our lives, no cares, no worries (sort of). We never wasted a beautiful day to school!! LOL!!
Oh the perks of growing up in California...beaches, parks, picnics, hikes, great concerts at night.......school? Just a place to meet up to plan the next fun event!
Mrs. Bell: ushering at all the cool rock shows at Berkeley, Winterland, Provo Park. I barely remember, but the nostalgia feels great.
So here's one thing I've been up to:
http://www.myspace.com/quartetsource
that's my band I founded and manage--
myspace-music rocks.
Also play in a 19 piece rock show band ( founded in 1991 by none other than the amazing Dick Bright!), but that's winding down in tandem with the economy (thanks Little Man Bush, for your great economic policies--- NOT!!)
That's OK, at 50+ I've grown a little weary of airports and high end resorts....LOL!!
Besides, Enron & Tyco spoiled the crazy corporate party scene...
But enough about corporate excess, it's so good to see you guys (textually)...maybe in person soon?
~Peace Out~

Milo, we are hanging at the big bar in the sky. I am sitting with Stuart's grandfather his friend Frank S. Posty, The King, Dougie himself of coarse "Elvis". As we were reading this latest post, Jimmy Stewart stopped by. He was talking about his great movie "It's a wonderful life". How one sweet and kind person can affect the outcome of another's life. How someone could put his or her life on hold every time someone hit a cow or just dropped his bike. Not to mention hand or rear end work. How he sent his middle school age kids to your house only to have them learn how to run from the cops (sorry Simo) and explosives charges. Yes someone can really change the outcome of your or any one's life. Son don't forget that trip when Stuart took the wheel of that big rental truck so you could stand on the gas tank (outside the truck at 65 MPH) so you could empty your tank. You learned about physics and wind direction too. Just like high school. Jimmy was telling us of how he thanked that person in his life. Milo I agree with Helen. I never thanked you for going with me in that clown suit that Halloween to bail Kieth out, (by the way this is Barbara. Thank you for the second Mom comment). Kenny Posty is waiting to have a rematch of the fight at the bar from Stuart & Leslie's wedding. Dougie is here to break it up just like last time. Son Barbara and I were talking, Dougie agrees go out to that barn full of parts and build an Oregon special from the late 70's. Frame, fat bobs, 2 fenders, black (except yours) and a foot clutch. Stu-e-j's birthday is coming. Or do what you do best. Have someone else do it and make them think it was there idea!
Stop having those little accidents. We don't want to see you here too soon. Love, Mom and Mrs. Blythe, Barbara

Hi Stu, I didn't mean to leave you out of the Oregon Tool & Supply story. Stuart Pressman was managing Post Tool in Oakland in the early 80's, that his Uncle Postmanner owned, when I came back from Oregon to my mom's home on Harvard road. It was to help take care of her after an operation. Stu said come to work for him while I was there. I ended up staying 5 1/2 months and earning a lot of tools instead of money. When I got back home to Oregon, friends would ask me to get them a floor jack, drill press, etc.. I made a few trips back to Oakland to buy stuff from Stu and sell it at a minor profit. After doing this a few times I figured I could sell tools to people I dont know. My mom loaned me 5000.00 and with Stuarts help, started Oregon Tool & supply. A big thank you goes out to Stu-E-J for his business experience and all his help in getting me started in my new adventure. Stu and I have enjoyed a great deal of firsts together as he says. On my way home from The Ride To The Wall (Washington DC) last year I spent the night with him and Leslie and caught up on a lot of good ole times. They say when you leave this world if you can count on one hand a few really great friends you have kept over a lifetime, you are indeed blessed. I feel priveledged (sp)to count Stuart Pressman as one of those friends. Another one of those friends is my wife of almost 20 years,Joni. We have a 15 yr & an 18yr old daughter. The middle of May this year I had the ole Rat bike packed and ready for another cross country journey. My wife Joni was going to join me to the first rest stop in Grants Pass to say goodby. Joni rides a 2003 heritage softtail and our daughter Danielle rode her honda. A friend, Mark was on the first leg also, just to say bye. When we pulled up to the rest area Joni rode up to me and stated "I changed my mind, I want to go all the way with you". Wow, what a feeling I got knowing that my wife felt she could ride all the way to the east coast. The amazing thing about that is, Joni was diagnosed with MS about 3-4 years ago. She never knows when she will have a good day or a bad day. She had only the clothes on her back, so we had to buy stuff for her along the way. We worked it out for Mark to get our 15 yr old, Andrea from school and stay at our house and get her to and from school. Imagine the look on her face when Mark got her that first day and she said "where's Mom"? It was a couple of days of are you kidding me? then she was ok with it. We had them box up some things for joni and fed ex em to Wyoming. It was a great ride and we suprised Joni's parents in South Carolina for a few day visit. Sorry Bubbles,I didn't know you lived in Tenn. We rode through your beautiful state on the way back home, I would have loved to see you. Hey Resurceted, now you REALLY know the rest of the story!! The dogs names are Sparkey,Saddie and Gucci. The horses names are Diego and Patches. The cats name is pepper and as far as a password, whats that? Nascar in New Hampshire is about to start so have a great day everyone,MILO

I said this in the past, Piedmont, Bikers??? (I am laughing). It's almost as funny as Simo and cops!!!!!!! (I am really laughing now!) Milo think he gets paid to drive now like we used to. Now we complain about those wild drivers. This is the person I did more firsts in my life with and to top it off, I have never been to jail or run over. I have been accused here of occasionally not speaking highly of a person re their past actions, but actions of our past and present makes us who we are today. Milo you bring up cliff driving, diving or shall I say loosing control and going over a cliff in Skyline. We had three of those, you, Tyson & Wes. Nobody got hurt. We were lucky. How about my Leslie she was in two of those cars. Dougie!! The king. I do miss him. Enough for today. We now have had Piedmont's most "famous biker" here at our site. Google Milo Anderson Rat bike and you will see his out standing show bike that is in more peoples pictures from all over the world. Love you my brother. Peace out and may someone tell that schmuck in the white house the army is sending home already everyone he said he is sending home as a bonus to the American people. Stop putting our kids in harms way! Peace out and Love to all.
me I do not know why I didn't think of you with the beer keg on the bike? If I remember it who else would I have been with. I just had my knee fixed from when we picked up your Fiat in Convenient's parking lot and dropped it on my knee. You and Bernie were in the car I believe. Oregon has been my home since 1978. Dave Robles, when are you gonna come back and visit and ride for a while. I guess it's been a few years since you stopped by on your way to do the college thing with your kid. Stuart & Leslie have been here quite a few times. hi to Ken Mockel, who stayed over at Christmas time during a snow storm. I've been riding the same Harley since 1975. Old Shovelheads never die (right Robles)? I remember in 75 when I got a call from the CHP telling me my bid was accepted on a 1970 cop bike. Pat Moffit and I took my 1963 chev panel truck up to Sac to get it. we were drinking beer and doin a number when Pat lost the head out the window. He lit it again and we finisher it. Just befoer Sacremento, Pat said do you smell something burning? The whole back of the panel was filled with smoke. we found the head that Pat lost. It burnt into the matress in the back pretty good. we wers pouring beer on the large crater to put out the smoldering matress. In the CHO cop shop we were getting some pretty good looks, I recon we smelled of a few things. Thats how my life on a Harley started. Lots of great memories of PHS also. Like right after I said here in Doc Benson's history class, it was out the rear window to the park for a good game of Buckum with Steve Beals ( hi Katie ), John Fisher, Matt Hecht, Gary Klukas, Mark Moshier, Ken Mockel, Keith Orr, Smitty, Stuart Pressman and a host of other people. Some of us actually made it back to school eventually. Print shop with David Ayres was so much not like work, I had 3 periods a day of it. Bill Hasseldon (sp?) our beloved Gearman teacher, after my 2nd year with him, said maybe I would be better suited with another language, "ONE THAT I DIDN'T TEACH"!! So I took Gearman with him for a 3rd year!!! Yes Helen I remember a few good parties at your house (thank you). Friday night at the Blythe's was a very good time with a lot of fun people John, Merry, Leslie, and Stephanie Blythe. I'm glad I was at your mom's memorial in Portland, and feel good that I was able to say a few things about your great mom (my 2nd mom) Barbara. Nancy Hill, Holly Heileg, Cathy Coan, Steve Tyson, Bill Pettis, Stuart Pressman, Peter Sam Batagios, Janet Markeson, Kim Davis, Keith Orr, and a host of other great people as well, The poker games, car races, nights at Sequoia point, ( I remember going to jail from there one night, no thanks to Glen Sarasetto( I think that's who put the hash pipe under the passenger seat as he got out of the car ). Doug DeSilva was the king of road racing on his Honda, but I could do pretty good on the rear wheel of my Yamaha 650. It sure was fun to do wheelies and hold it up for a few miles. I never understood why our good ole boys in blue (ppd)liked to give me tickets for EXHIBITION OF SPEED when I was almost always going under the speed limit. Thats why the judge did'nt let me have my license back until I was 18. It was only for a couple of months. Kathy Ragolio, sorry about driving off the cliff in my Capri back in the hills after a kegger, and scarring the hell out of you and everyone else in the car. God was surley with me and all of us that day (and many more times for me in the future also)!!! Stuart that was me on my Yamaha 250 going back into the oakland hills with a 165 lb keg on the back, and me riding on the gas tank with you and someone else balancing it on the back. Wow a lot of great times that we are all lucky to have made it past those crazy times. My Shovelhead riding has taken me about 545,000 miles in the last 32 years on the same bike. I've been in all 48 states and 4 prov. of Canada and still going. It was a real treat to ride to Wash DC the last 2 years, and ride in the Rolling Thunder parade on Memorial day weekend. ON the way out to DC we stopped at 18-20 Veterans homes and visited with our Veterans for an hour or so at each stop. WE heard a lot of WWII, Korea stories and put smiles and tears of joy on their faces and our own as well. What an awsome feeling to see make a little difference in someones life who has basicly been forgotten over the years, When I see a vet I'm proud to be able to shake their hand and thank them for their service to our country. I challenge every one else to do the same, It really brightens up someones day. No I'm not a vet but was proud to ride with a lot of Vietman Vets on the National Veterans Awarness Ride www.nvar.us. If anyone is going through Roseburg Oregon, I-5 goes right thru Roseburg. Please stop by Oregon Tool & Supply and say hi. My mom loaned me 5,000.00 in 1983 and I started a tool store. 24 years later and its still fun and lets me ride my bike quite a few weeks a year. I hope everyone else is diong fine too.(Peace out) no I wont close as our famous buddy stu-e-j does. What a great blast from the past this web site does. Thanke to Kenny Mockel for telling me about it last week. Thanks to our web master also. Later, MILO

Biffs! I remembered my brush with the round icon just the other day.
Joann Zimmerman and I went there once for a piece of pie. The waitress was cranky (maybe because she had to serve 2 teenagers one order) and abruptly delivered our dessert via a hard landing. The crust cracked open to reveal a large disc of mold on the apple filling. Must have been the window display specimen. I never went back. =:O

Go Bob Coomber! Congrats! Kathy H, I remember you. As for old hangouts, King's X and Fenton's may have changed, but at least they're still there When I worked the cash register at Pearson's Hardware (now Dr. Comics, but if you peel back the doormat it still says Pearson's) I had friends who lived above the flower shop across the street from King's X. I was never part of the Lakeshore crowd, but I do remember those places. By the time I had my D/L I was hanging out at the Bishops Coffee House on (I think) Webster St in downtown Oakland, or late night meals at Biff's on the corner of 27th and Broadway. Closer to home, I loved the fish and chips from Rhode's on Grand Ave.

Without a Hemi or rocket assist! 3 days of hiking over 12,000', and taking 10 hours, 45 minutes to finish the final 1.6 miles Lots of noise on the 'net about it (Google 4wheelbob), and in today's San Jose Mercury News. I thought some of you might want an update on what is happening regarding the death of Dale Zenor...from the Contra Costa Times on 8/29- I have deleted some of the article but it is available on-line...Prosecutors have charged a Tracy man with felony vehicular manslaughter in the March 22 death of a motorist in front of Acalanes High School that outraged the Lamorinda community. David Caspillo, 38, was charged Monday, said Lafayette police Chief Mike Hubbard. Caspillo was not taken into custody, but prosecutors issued an order for him to appear in court. The charge is the culmination of a months-long investigation into Zenor's death in a high-speed chain-reaction accident, which occurred when the car Caspillo was driving struck Zenor's Mazda on Stanley Boulevard.

Hope to see anyone here from the class of 72 at the reunion on sept. 29th. If and when I am in the area of "Dickies", I will see if he knows anything about "Orr Boy" I have talked to Dan Seymour, his sister, (damn I can't remember her name right now) and Drew Case about Keith and no one seems to know his whereabouts. I did get a lead that he might be reached at PAPPY'S on International Blvd (E14th) but I hav'nt had stop in there for quite some time. Whats up with this sobriety thing? I keep seeing more and more names that I recognize on here, Maybe we did'nt talk in school, but we knew that the other person existed, maybe its time we get to know each other, before its too late, and maybe find out that we had something in common, or ...? Just a crazy thought, but as time goes by, I wonder Why? As Stuart would say 1Ken, Peace OUT

Getting caught up made me hungry & think of my favorite place for a late night snack. I would see a regular crowd of Piedmont folks at Jack in the Box, personally I think it sucked. I worked nights and the Hofbrau on Broadway was my first choice then there was a Chinese restaurant across from Center Auto parts that was open until 2 am at least. It makes me sad to see names of kids killed in Vietnam. I have a lady that works for me that is my age and was a kid there on the other side. She talks of sad times when she was young. The best part is she made it out. I hope our kids in the desert get out soon. I would also like our WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY to get the F--- OUT! TOO! My tribe would say let our people go, here I would say bring our kids home! Great to see Tom Simonitti & Greg Thompson last week even if it was such a short time. Kathy has one of the best for kids our age at the time, Bertola's. "TRIPLES FOR A BUCK". You needed the same ID as at Confucius. I believe Bing's wife married Dewy7 from Franchicos and is a customer of ours in our San Lorenzo store. Mitch & Jim's or really "Mitch's". The hang out for east bay "Jew's". Nothing was finer than to go to the Raider game on Mitch's bus!!! The food and I imagine the bar but being a baby compared to the rest of you (not Kathy) they would not serve me between the age of 7 to 14. The best way to the Raider game was with my uncle Lou. I would think the only better way would be with Al.
Mitch's, "Dotty" as our waitress that took great care of my family. I want some of those beef steak tomatoes!!! I have Mitch's secret salad dressing. He gave it up just before he died to a friend who gave it to us. All of this is making me want to go out and have a great big dinner and a drink or two! Oh it's 6:13 in the morning.

And even the Coors Cup was laid to rest in 1990 after 17 years of madcap golf fun. Stuart...BBQ Beef was a good choice as well...I believe that they stopped making that after Howard Robbins was purported to have put a rat in the fried chicken batter and some poor soul like Craig Estudillo or Tom LaFaille found it sitting amongst the fries in the little boxes they used to serve them in. Of course, that is the origin of the other name of the establishment--RAT WAY. This week's sign that the things do change...was in Oakland last night and decided to drive up to Lake Park Avenue to find that after all these years--KWIK WAY (The Gtand lake Drive-in for those playing at home)--WAS CLOSED...I was bummed...there are no more Poor Boys at what used to be the Lakeside Delicatessan and the other Kwik Ways had closed up shop but now my last opportunity at a double cheese with the secret sauce had now become history. I heard that it was going to become a McDonald's but that rumor had persisted for many years. I also heard that the shortage of corn oil now being used to fire up those hot Piedmont cars was the culprit. I dunno...so, no more prawns with the special sauce, no more fries that had been cooked in oil that had been there since 1967, no more pies or shakes and no more of the infamous triple cheeses. I am bummed. I am going to go right to ebay to see if I can buy either the franchise "rites" to Kwik Way or perhaps the recipe for the special sauce.

Hi Mike White,
I was reading some of the comments regarding the cars from high school, etc. You were right about the DeLauer's cobra being white, although Bud's dad had two at the same time, the other was blue. We had a great afternoon one day riding in one of them, can't remember which, and Bud was doing around 65 in first gear on Mandana with smoke coming from the rear of the car. "Harries" are everywhere!!!!!!!!!! Last night in the village where I live I went into a restaurant to get dinner to go. I was standing there listing to a man call me Scott? I was thinking not again? (Last week someone came up to me and asked if I was Scott's brother? Normally they think I am Peter or Kim's brother) I turned around and he changed to Stuart. It was Rich Sharbach (spelling?). He is living temporarily behind my house in the country of Carmel Valley. Helping Jan Wilson with a remodel. There is another old name too. Keep the rubber side down. Peace OUT!!! me

Hey all!! Been awhle so I thought I'd check in and see what's been going on in the "wonderful world of "hairydom". I've received a few emails from a few folks that I haven't heard from in decades and one that if she hadn't written me, I would never have remembered her...but I did and that was great. That's the really terrific thing about this forum. Memories...what a great thing. Watching each other grow and develop (well most of us). A few major things have happened since I last visited. I gave birth to a kdney stone. Anyone one who has has had one can relate. I'll be a grandfather again in about 4 weeks and can't wait! Lastly, I sold my Mustang. A guy just had to have it and what he offered me for it...I just had to sell it to him. So, the stang is gone, but I got an '07 Chev Impala SS as a replacement. It's a totally different ride...but a good one! By the way Bill C., even though I've been a huge VA Tech fan for years, Michael Vick has just let his ego run rampant...If he draws some jail time and has to sit the season out, then he got off easy. By he way, I was really saddened by todays loss of Bill Walsh. He was the life blood of the 49er's. Hope to hear you're all doing well and are HAPPY!!! God bless and hope to visit this site soon,

Aloha all,
I just wanted to check in and say hello to my fellow clansmen! I am retired living in Los Gatos, CA and Princeville, Kauai with Jim Saylor. Geez I wish I had a decent car in 1970-1972 so I can really bond with you guys, but I had a 1967 Ford Mustang which I bought for $600! I am retired with my wife of 20 years and my 3 boys and they are all fantastic swimmers 2 went to state CCS. For me, just skiing at our home in Northstar and sailing the SF BAy or Hawaii's Kauai's napali coast. I belong to the Olympic CLub in SF and hack golf balls at a 12 handicap and I play tennis at Courtside in Los Gatos. I have been doing a lot of scuba diving in the Caymans and Bahamas and am planning a trip with the family later this summer to Costa Rica. My wife of 20 years and I love backpacking in the Sierras. With 3 teen agers, we are running all over the place. I wanted to say hello to you all and hope you are enjoying this great summer of '07. T-Birds still rule, Barry Bonds needs more to tie HA, Bush is crazy as ever, CAL is still trying to get to the Rose Bowl and hopefully we are all getting younger everyday!! Mahalo, Fred

I don't remember to many other "tow" vehicles. The Road Runners were excellent for boats too. Dave great picture, can you email it to me? The police presence in Hollister was cut in half in town. Bill: The photo was in black and white so I am not 100% sure about the Road runner. But I think it was white or yellow. It did not look like it was Orange.- Brett The jet! Nice Collection you got going there!!! I have seen the GP bike and Love the Lemans too!! Still Have the Old shovel.- Ya, Brett the 5er was nice and is still the same today, Just todays standards are so high she is more Vintage Heap than todays 55s.- As To yours and ahead of its time. You where the 1st I had seen taking off a harmonic balancer as so many of today's high end racers do.
Personally I still like a big 8 inch thick Balancer, and that's still what's on the 5er. It may not be the best But I like the looks and the timing marks ect.

All of you, this site is great. I spent Saturday afternoon with Dave Robles & his new bride Ester last Saturday in Hollister. I had not seen Dave since 1972. We went to Wildwood on up together. The best was when he wiped my "snot nose" as he put it. Kenny, Dave said that Jake had died? I didn't know. He is watching Bob burn rubber and pop wheelies outside that bar in heaven. PSB - last time I saw you was probably '88 at Bob Dron Harley in Oakland. You were riding a blacked out Pan or maybe Shovelhead? Very sweet scoot! I had just bought an '88 Electra Glide Sport (Elvis Bike) and sadly and foolishly (in retrospect) I sold my '47 Knucklehead ('58 swing arm frame) shortly thereafter. What was hilarious is that I hadn't seen you since high school and I was in the service area at Dron's and I heard this voice and immediately thought "Hey I know that voice...!" I looked around the corner and sure 'nuff! ;-) Now I am into other V-twins - my stable includes a '76 Moto Guzzi Lemans850 and a couple of Ducati Desmoquattros - one of which is a World Super Bike race homologated Ducati 996 SPS. PSB - good to see ya on the board bro! Unfortunately my '5'er' was the ugly step-brother to your immaculate example - maybe my memory is generous but I always loved your car and thought it was something right out of Two Lane Black Top! I am glad to hear you still own it. So many cars I wish I had kept... I blew the 265 ci going up Mandana at around 100mph - must have been a malfunctioning speedo as I doubt it was good for much more than 80 or so down-hill with a tail wind. Dropped a 283 in it and then threw a rod going over Hiway 17 pass to Santa Cruz. After that I sold it to Bruce Rogers for something like $75, after removing my "wet bar" supplies doncha know - a fifth of Johny Walker Black, and J.W. Red stashed under the front seat.
I would love to hook up with the old gang - will be down later this summer and maybe we can arrange it. Late!

I'm not usually one to jump in on PHS car nostalgia (though I have many fond memories, some not so fond of many mentioned here), but I have to bring up a couple from Jr. High - does anyone recall the name of the math teacher with the aluminum - body Lancia? She'd freak if she saw anyone even lean on it!
Then, my 7th grade math teacher, Dan Soloman, had a CHERRY 38 LaSalle coupe convertible, white over yellow with an Olds 394 up front. I got a ride in it once, and what a precious tank! I lusted for that LaSalle for years - the truth can now be told!

HI Crew;
Hope your 4th was nice. For those who live far and or did not make it.
Thought you may like to know about the 4th of July Parade In Piedmont this year. =
It also was the Centennial celebration of Piedmont.=
It started with the Pancake Breakfast. New Orleans Bands and the Highlanders with Bag Pipes =
There was a Cavalcade of Beauties . Organized buy none other Than our Old Principle Brother John Morrison and his stunning worthy of Pebble Caddie 190412 . There where 56 Stunning cars that roamed the streets of Piedmont. Some where as they where in the day , Original with lots of Patina!=
There was a float of the 1st Hotel from the 1871 That burned down in 1892.=
Lots of history.... from the 1st settler in the Piedmont hills Walter Blair in 1853 and his vast Dairy and cattle grazing in Pastures that ran to Grand Ave.=
To Hugh Craig On 55 Craig ave across the street from the Blythe home. He was one of the crew who incorporated Piedmont and was its Mayor its first 14 years,as so many of us remember. Also a Stagecoach That had so much patina!!! You Know who's it is and was??? The 1st Mayor of Piedmont Hugh Craigs family; Grand daughter and son and Craig Martin where all on the coach.=
Something I forgot about was the silk farm on Dudly and Littlewood Ave 1885. They unraveled silkworm cocoons for the silk. It was not as nice as the silk from China It closed after 10 years.=
By 1913 Piedmont was known as the "City Of Millionaires" 32 Millionaire living there. It was the wealthiest town per capita of its size in Calif.=
Jack London lived on Blair Ave in 1903 where he his second wife C. Kittredge. And Significantly that year he wrote "Call of the Wild"=
I will Close with a car ?. In a Photo about 1968-69 is the old store fronts. There is a 68 roadrunner and a looks to be white 57 T Bird with stock front wheels and big American mags on the Back. Who's car was the Bird Hotrod???=
IT was a nice event fun crew. Music/ food/ old friends---
I Hope some Piedmont History we can all enjoy makes up for my Car centric long posts.

PSB told me yesterday was the 100th anniversary of the Piedmont 4th of July parade. I was at the Monterey parade myself. Purely Americana. PSB the blue Ford LTD was a great ride. Who would have guessed. The speed runs on Redwood Rd. I would not do that at all like we did. We are lucky we didn't take someone out even ourselves. They Valley Rd in the 80's I did stupid stuff on my bike but 15 to years since I have done that. I would turn someone in now for that kind of activity if they were endangering the neighborhood.

Ah Yes I met Big Jack. Nice to know hes still around. I have to meet the new gal.
Yes well done. I can Except being one of the automotive allusion.
I had forgotton about some of those heaps.
How about the light Blu 69 Police intercepter. For some reason that car could not be beat in a road race even against a SCCA Champ and his car. and it had a lock out for 1st gear! It did fuel starve on hard rt hand drifts all those Fords did.
Ok crew the statute of limitations is over.
I worked in Hayward Dodge I was a PDI guy who set up all the cars for delivery. We have The Police contract. All PD cars then where hand made. Thay Still where POS. The crew from PPD saw me there ,we worked out a deal where I could bring the cars back and forth for them....... Oh Ya. Lights camera action is all I will say............ Where are those photos.. They PPD know me. why why would they do this. Times where great!
I still say Pintos where ahead of there time If only there tiers lasted more than 3 hours at a time on Redwood Rd.. When the speed limit was 65
Thanks Stu. I had forgotten about a lot of those heaps you spoke of! Your mind is a sharp as a sharp shooter.
Yes a BIG Roger that about A Good guy who should not have chased us as he knew where we all lived. This is why the chases where so dangerous. I mean it was all out I could not pass folks like him . he had his car all lit up and singing. I would be so far ahead through the turns then on Park Bl. on the way to Skyline or down Grand Ave He could pass like crazy and try to bump us it seemed. But my old heaps rocked us to safety. As I said they (Almost) always got me because they new where we lived.. Folks have to understand It was Fun for them too I would think and they had the right on there side. It just gets to carried away and the Law should know, better "I do agree." Times where different then. I hold nothing against them I was way wrong 1st. Now they In Oaktown they still do it and for small infractions. Its an outrage.
I have been on the Side show task force working with the youth and the Darn city for over 4 years now. ( No more now) I want to get some of these talented Kids off the street and on a autoX and skid course. It would be cheaper than what the city spends . Oakland said it cost $225,000.00 every weekend. Outrage. Lets have a Young person from Oakland at Indy 500 I say. Don't get me started on this. You have one of my Side show Tee shirts I made up for the guys to where to a City counsel meeting Weeeee. No Hairy and state for me....
I will only say I Have seen some real Talent and understanding of car control with some of these so called Kids. Get a Video Called 23109 welcome to Oakland. Some of us know that Code the hard way!!!!!!! If you are out here call us we can see the Video.. I also have James and Denis. Anne does not seem to be able to watch the hole thing.. Dang I need somebody to watch it with.
I will try to promise not to talk about car/bikes ect everytime. Buts its kinda my High!!!!
As I said before I hope this wheres off soon..
Have a good one Crew
PS
SJP remind me to tell you about 4:30PM weekday side show in front of the club house with OPD eating tacos out side.. It was crazy!!! But amazing!!!! I dont want to post it here as it could be just to much car stuff for the masses.

The most important, who are the "pup's"? My co-workers and companions, Jack & Stella. They go everywhere with me except on my bike. They actually give it dirty looks, same with the Vette, they know they are staying home. The Piedmont car culture "legend"? The car guy that made a Pinto seem like a GT40, A bug like a 911, a beater gasser like something John Force would be driving. That is our living legend. Playing Efrem Zimbalist junior in a LTD??? Most of all "James and Dennis" in the 5er. Come on look in the mirror. I could write a series on these stories. The king of automotive allusion. My $75.00 Jammer turn outs are far superior to that $400.00 pipe that didn't like my bike or my bike rejected the pipe. The comment's I get are (even last night at old car night at Baja) "is that thing pumped"? It is so out of style with what people think are kool. I am an old guy now that doesn't ride that way any more (hopefully). I even bought my first adult helmet last year. Fred Govia is in our store in San Lorenzo every two weeks. One day he started to talk to me in his "COP VOICE" (you know that voice Tommy, I bet you have one too). It took me 1 minute and I knew who he was. He really was a good guy. He never should have chased any of us he knew where we all lived. The "pup's" want to go out and I have to go to work. Keep our kids at war in your thoughts!!! Maybe the Pres will step down??? PEACE OUT!!! L,
me

Hi Crew; Smiling so hard its amazing crew.
***Brother Robles: Big Congrats on the new Fuel inj Road Glide I love the Black Cherry My 87 is that color. But I still love the simple times of my old Bendix carbed Shovels. So cool to here from so many!!!!!! Hope to come to where you play some time maybe we can all come by.... Maybe SJP can get my As- on my bike to come out... I cant see well at night to ride safely.
***I will take this in order . I see my post. I know it will irritate some. It was careless times. I still to this day drive on the same roads with my wife and wonder with the good brakes I have now, How we could get up 80MPH+ on short blocks with drum brakes in a cloud of smoke and GREAT amount of noise. My wife said, theres more cars now.( yes SJP and others she doesn't really know what we could and did do) It was not a safe smart thing. Do not do this at home!!!! or my home.... SJP used to rock us out of bed in the early hours with the Loudest 3 gear runs with his Rich Products loud pipes!!!!!!! hehehe I know paybacks are heck....
***Brother Simo Ya ; would love to. I had dreams of your M22 455 all nigh long no kidding, that machine turned dash Man...... Thanks for the ups on my memory.
You had a party at your folks home. Fred G was there I got to apologize to him there. Him and I had some good full on races through town, through Skyline. Never did catch me in so many terms. But always got me in the end!!!!
He would always come to court and I knew I was guilty. One time it was early A.M. he was so tired but still came to court. I was sorry for that. I liked him.
Before I was 16 I lost my Lic 2 times. They would have to postpone me getting a lic at 16. Hummmmm... I guess all the go cart & 1/4 midget racing didn't pay off as a Child or it did. I am still alive and so are all who where with or around me. (On one of my race cars I have on it "luck is the residue Of Design)
You get to live in Benicia. I love that place! I have some in-laws there and we walk down the hill to town and have fun...
*** Helen You where one of the ones that was in my mind when I said I missed you at the reunions. I have read more today and see you live in a wonderful sounding place. Sending you some of the bay areas Aromas the smell of the Pacific! It always has pulled me back to the left coast.
Oh and another disclaimer; all the drug talk for the G-men lurking, (Thanks for the vigilant eye on the bad guys) The drugs where over the counter hehehheh Mrs. Toms store and the Hasmas over the counter Man, crazy times.
Oh Lee Say and his Daytona Triumph one day in front of the PD and Fire ...
I better not.... Maybe latter. Lets just say he would pick it up and it would fall over the other side about 3 times before he got going. as he told the Officer once he gets going it stays up..... No kidding. He got to go. Cant see that now days speaking of different times.
*** Brother SJP; I don't know who the Puppies and the Legend are. Thanks for no comments "you know to much" ehehhehhe
The 429 had the Lic plate Smoky1. Do you know who that is/was????
That was Smokys car! Yes he had a shop in Fl. But Hayward Ford was the dealer all the Shelby's and other race cars came out of for PDIs (pre dilivery Inspections) They came up from down south on the trains. I have a photo of that car in Littlewood. Speaking of Fantastic Memories SJP
Good way to get it in there about the Press. But No the Idiot I spoke of where the ones we have spoke about years ago. But still would love for them to post if there still alive.
Maybe now thay have done good in the world.
I do not want to mix Hairy and State.
About the 396s Yes as I always said good for towing boats...
That Blue one was in a burn out contest the family even put on snow tiers so it would burn out easier...... All I can say is Take me to valve float and 200RPMS less and lets rock. Posi or no posi...
Hope to see some of you before summer is out. We are all so busy now days I know it difficult.
Take Care
Peter
Brett the Jet Your 5er was ahead of the times with out the big counterbalance. How and where your Brother?
I hate to go.....
I hope this wears off.

Dave bring some Kleenex to help me with that "snot nose" you spoke of. Now that we have PSB I just need a few others, Milo, John Boy, Kenny, Keith, Drew, J.D., of coarse Tyson, Smitty, Remo I know there is more. They would all have a chapter in my book, "I was in the passenger seat & lived". That was very questionable when I spent so many nights in Milo's passenger seat. "Live and stayed on the OUTSIDE, uninjured". Milo would get two to three chapters and the living legend would have his own series. DAVE something soft for my nose please. There is only one bike like mine, FXRP Cop Bike. Corvette white with purple to blue flames on the faring this rest is blue flames. Like a cartoon character. I Am guessing you are 6' dark hair? Salt & pepper hair? Any hair? Laughing, PEACE OUT.

"The Legend has arrived". My puppies & I are laughing at work this morning. My money is on the "living legend". I am still laughing. I am not going to comment too much PSB but what about "Smokey" The silver BOSS 429 in the driveway after school one day? DAVE ROBLES, I usually go to Johnny's but the past few years we have been over at the Vault, the girls are much cuter to watch over there. I will be looking for you at Johnny's Saturday afternoon is when I am meeting a friend from Jackson in Hollister. HELEN, lots of drugs, I just remember you girls going nut's I I just had to be submissive to what ever you two wanted me to do as far as the kitty went. I at least remembered it lived. Enjoy this beautiful day. Good thought for the fire people. You all know what I think about our kids in the war and the IDIOT (PSB were you referring to our great President "AH") PEACE OUT!!! L,
