I think all of us faithful users of the Hairy Net Guest Book need to thank our founder and fearless internet leader, Mike DuFloth, for continuing to sponsor this wonderful site where we can all keep in touch, share a few stories, and act like teenagers again. I remember when Mike used to publish this site on that old mainstay, paper, before bringing us all into the 21st century with one of the first websites ever--piedmonthigh.com. Again, thanks Mike! Classmates.com ain't got nothin' on you. Happy Holidays to all!

To Whom It May Concern: (of the Class who graduated 1970-1971)
I know that I am a defector and actually graduated from Putnam City West during the above years, but I now confess I wouldn't mind being invited to a class reunion at Piedmont. Curiosity has "gotten" the better of me, and I want to know what happened to everyone. Lastly, I also confess I miss the good music we grew up playing. How nice it would be to celebrate this TIME with old friends. My address is 25619 E 735 Road, Tahlequah, OK, 74464-1907, (918) 456-6512. Also, I wouldn't mind knowing how Dub Kidd did you Yukon who was my first date, and yes, he is forgiven! Does anyone know.
Lastly, on the more sober side I heard that Johnny Wolfkiller's father died this week, and I was so sorry to hear that. I ran across him this last year, and thought your reunion organizer might like to send a card. I am.
I would like to see my old classmates, and would appreciate a response. Thank you,
Sincerely, Saundra Cheatham, saundracheatham@yahoo.com

Steve (GAS) Main...Wow, great to see your post on this board! I remember playing street sports with you and Lightnin' Lance and Big Don MacFarlane on Sharon Ave. along about '70/71. I think our sports consisted of mainly wrestling matches on our front lawn... Of course, with Mac and myself being older, I think we were pretty much undefeated in these matches. Hope all is well with you and all Hairys everywhere...

Hi Margaret,
WEll, I played the oboe in the pit orchestra during My Fair Lady also. Funny, I forgot about Harv doing that. I remember quite a few of the orchestra members. I remember Harv's favorite saying right before a concert. It was always " With scotch tape and a prayer we will get through this". Has anyone heard of where he is and what he is up to? I remember a Cherry Jenkins that played the violin. So, do you still play the violin? I have not played the oboe since I was a senior..I sure had the best times in Harv's classes.

This message is for Kim Gimbal. I just came out with another book entitled "How To Buy & Sell A Business" (Warner). In it there is a story about two business guys and friends named Kent and Hank. As the story ends Hagen has totally screwed over Moriera and ruined his life. I mention this to Kim to point out that he is not the only bad guy in these books. Best wishes to all, Zook

OK all of you deadbeats...you must all be hanging around classmates.com to get your fix on Piedmont High School. WRONG! But ya gotta dance with the one that brung ya...this is the site where the definitive Hairy Lawn information is available. Anyway, the updates I have are that Jay Carlson's son's team beat my son's team to win the Moraga 7/8 grade basketball championship a few weeks ago and now Jim Kurkjian's son is competing against my younger son in baseball. I attended Reg Street's annual duck dinner a few weeks back and enjoyed the company of none other than Chris Cuyler, the aforementioned Jay Carlson, John Reilly, Bob Cabrera, George "I know where Jim Polse is and you don't" Bassett and of course the host, Reg Street along with assorted spouses and significant others. It is good to see that we don't ever change...much! So, let's pick up the pace here with info on post hairy life rather than spam from some boxer somewhere. Sounds like Rob Williams has been up to no good again!

Hey! Where have you all been? Just found this site and can't believe what I've been missing. Time for a beer. Stay in touch.

Hi everyone! I'm from PHS class of '68. Jeff Robinson just told me about this site and I have been enjoying reading all the comments. I can't believe all the memories that have come flooding back. Does anyone remember the famous "Castle parties" on Waldo Ave. during the mid sixties to early seventies? My dearly departed mother PHS class of '36 knew only too well how important a good party is to the well being of Piedmont kids! She was always willing to answer the door when Sgt. Vasey came to tell us to lower the volumn. He didn't seem to care that we were drinking beer at record speeds. I must admit though that the fun for me really started in the year of "67 when I met my future husband Denny Pierpont. How in the world could you not have fun with Denny? He knew everyone and they all seemed to want to party hardy with him.I first met him while he was working at Hamby's market. The three of us (I'm including his dog Jake) would cruise around in his suped up '55 chevy pick up truck. We would then proceed to Al Howard's , and Phil Rafton's and Grey Hill's and Jeff Robinson's house and anyone else who got in our way and instruct them to "find a tomato" and meet us up at Robert's Park. We would play the guitars and drink beers. This was obviously before the drinking and driving and seatbelt laws! We sure did love Denny's panel truck with the beer spigot on the outside. Well as life goes on things change, and so do people. After we split up I moved to Tahoe for 10 years (where I met my present husband)We will be celebrating our silver anniversary this year.My husband is a golfer and plays on a regular basis with Jay Knowland PHS class of "63.I truly do enjoy this site and I will be back. Please e-mail me if you have any fun memories. Linda class of "68

1978 Class- Any plans for a reunion? My brother Dan and I are wondering. Just reading the Hairy Lawn stuff reminds me of being in Nancy Graham's Mustang doing doughnuts on the lawn. Can't get away with that anymore, I deduce. Hello to all.

Man.... this page goes back. It's weird to read over some of the stuff that you guys talk about... and it blew my mind when i read about the hairys ...the lawn and bus stop are actually right around the corner from my house...It sounds pretty tight, I'd like to start something like that back up... but the cops are way over anal about everything now and we couldn't get away with being on that lawn without getting reported or just having the cops stop by... they try in every single possible way to go roll parties and ruin everyone's fun... But yeah... I'm a sophomore at piedmont right now.... I just ran by here by accident, it's pretty cool to hear aobut the hairys, anyway, piedmont rules! peace. -Clin
